The Goal for RUSC Recreation programs is to provide weekly themes applicable to skills needed to succeed in advancing soccer abilities. Skills learned each week will be taught each practice night, Skill practiced via games/drills. New learned skills can be applied each week in a game setting. Success in learning new skills is usually found in creating a FUN environment.
RUSC Rec programs are Co-Ed, introductory program devoted to the enjoyment of the game and the development of players.
The emphasis is on fun, learning how to play the game, and developing life-long skills.
RUSC prides itself in being community based, community run!
Volunteer to Coach!
When you are signing your child up to play soccer, remember that none of this is possible without the wonderful volunteers we call coaches! We really are counting on parents to volunteer to help out as a coach - without coaches, we can not offer teams, it is that simple - we our a community based, non profit organization based on volunteer help, so we hope that you can help us out!
It is not a requirement for coaches to have previous playing or coaching experience to participate. We ask coaches to be positive role models for players and ensure the kids have fun. RUSC provides the necessary gear, provides training opportunities and lessons for coaches to have a fun successful year. We will always have an RUSC Volunteer at the info booth each night to answer any questions you may have.
Coaches receive registration discounts - reach out if you have any questions!
Buddy Requests
All Buddy requests must be made during registration, we will try our best to accommodate any buddy requests, however team formations will be based on the number of volunteer coaches and how flexible we can be with forming teams. Please consider volunteering as a coach if you are making any buddy requests.
