Bring your passion for youth sports to the next level and apply for a board position.
The RUSC board is the decision making arm of our youth soccer program. It is through the board that programs are designed, planned for and operated. The board oversees the budget and costs necessary to run each of these programs and determines applicable fees. Without a board there would be no RUSC as it takes everyone to help manage the organization. This is a team of volunteers that share the vision of creating opportunities for youth to grow and develop their skills with sportsmanship and teamwork..
What would I do as a member of the board?
- RUSC meets on a regular basis to discuss the action items and possible issues surrounding our program. Participation by board members during these meetings helps to find the best solutions for our organization.
- Besides meetings, each board member will be assigned a task or area to support. These positions may vary depending on the needs of the club and volunteers area of expertise.
- In addition each board member will be expected to assist with RUSC major events throughout the year. Some of these activities may include: parent/player meetings, tryouts, and/or community service activities, i.e. parade.
How long is the board term?
Each board member is elected to a 2-3 year term. In a typical year we elect to overlap terms to ensure that we have board member carry over to help with continuity and transition of assignments to new members.
